I like this series and I really do not know why. The main character is a bastard and that is his major redeeming quality. If I have to quantify this show in any way, I would have to call it a moderately ecchi, fan service providing (both male and female), heavy metal referencing, adventure/fantasy. But that is really too simple an explanation. Guess you better go watch it.

        The series revolves around a nice chaotic neutral character by the name of Dark Schneider who decides that he and his minions are going to take over the world for a while. Since he is immortal, this is one of the better things to do to pass time. Unfortunately, he wind up running afoul to a party of good characters from the city of Metallica (told you it was heavy metal referencing) who imprison him in a little boy. Unfortunately, his minion do not take the loss of Dark Schneider as any reason to quit trying to take over the world. Furthermore, they decide that while conquering is fun, awakening the sleeping monster that had almost destroyed the world the last time would be an even better thing. So what do the people of Metallica do when they find themselves in a desperate situation, but go and release Dark Schneider from his child prison to defend them. Of course they did forgot one thing in their hurry. Why would a bastard like him defend them? Luckily, he had fallen in love with one of the members of the forces of good. Unfortunately, that does not really stop him from wanting to seek revenge on those who imprisoned him. Moreover, one of his ex-girlfriends is looking for him and she not currently on the side of good.

        The series is composed of 6 OVA episodes. There are rumors that the remaining eps are in production now, but I am not holding my breath.
