This movie on the plot end was not very pioneering, but the quality of animation and diversity of techniques used in its telling were exception. It release came out in the transition period between the old style of anime and the style that is what we now characterize as the modern anime style. For its role in the changing the very way that anime was drawn, it along with BGC, Appleseed, Akira and several other animes will always be important historically and to me.

        Anyways, the plot is set in the not so distant future when a freelance video  journalist (Sybel)  becomes involved in a dangerous military fiasco when two top-secret military android assassins, know as M-66 units, are lost. One of the deadly M-66 units escapes with a mission to eliminate Ferris, the granddaughter of its creator. Time is running out as Sybel faces the deadly M-66 android in an epic battle to save Ferris. Well worth watching at least once.
